I hope the RTI presentations last week were not too overwhelming and that we were able to provide you with some good information about the new process this year. Please remember to send us your questions - we are trying to to put together an FAQ. There were some requests for resources for interventions broken down by grade level. Here are a few good ones I have found so far.

This website is put together by the Florida Center for Reading Research which is affiliated with FSU - a lot of the reading research comes out of here so you can feel comfortable that the interventions suggested here are research based. There are some great materials that you can print off to use in your classroom. On each of the following links, scroll to the bottom of the page for activities.

This site appears to be similar to the I2I page on the Cobb County website we showed you last week - it is based on Tennessee curriculum standards but may still have some valuable information for you. It is also broken down by grade level and academic area.

Some Web Resources for Intervention Ideas

Here are some excellent websites that can provide you with great ideas for interventions for all types of problems. They are all free! Check back soon for more resources and ideas to help you through this process...

This site has a great overview of all types of problems and interventions - there is a wealth of information here and several links to other pages that may help you as well. www.interventioncentral.org

This site focuses on academic interventions - there are detailed, easy to follow instructions for most interventions found here. http://www.gosbr.net/

On this page you can find more academic intervention ideas complete with ideas on how to monitor progress. http://www.msu.edu/course/cep/886/

If you need help in creating behavior contracts, this site has a program that will format them for you - you just input the behaviors you wish to monitor and the way you want the data recorded - the program creates the contract to your specifications and you just have to print it out!http://www.jimwrightonline.com/php/tbrc/tbrc.php
